The Outdoor School programs of Multnomah ESD and Northwest Regional ESD provide week-long local residential environmental education to thousands of students in Oregon schools every year. Tsuga Community Commission supports Friends of Outdoor School with a dedicated high school volunteer Student Leader scholarship. TCC is proud to recognize a Student Leader each year who has exceeded the expectations of their role to build a strong sense of shared community identity with their cabin groups and foster an environment in the cabin area where social capital (faith and trust) is strong between program participants at the end of each each.
